A native and resident of Florida for 13 years, John has been playing drums as long as he can remember starting with a humble set of pots and pans and wooden spoons. His formal education in percussion began at the age of eight, at which time he received his first drum set. After spending the next four years of his life and graduating high school in Delaware, he landed in Tacoma.

He is essentially a lifelong musician, playing in Drum Corps, Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band all through school and ending up as first chair percussionist/drummer.

He got most of his blues experience “on the job training” while touring all across the United States and Sweden with a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute Band. He is pleased and proud to be a part of the Michal Miller Band.
